This course is an introduction to the concepts and logic of computer programming. Here you'll learn how to break down and solve problems and use various programs to create games and make the computer do what you want it to do.
Students will explore object oriented programming using both application and Applets and will learn basic programming skills by designing structured programs to solve problems. Concepts covered in this study include classes, objects, programming statements, and user input-output. Students do not need any prior programming experience.

This is a lab based, hands-on course emphasizing the Internet. Students will have opportunities to design, develop, publish, and maintain original web sites. Authoring tools may include HTM; XML; interactive components such as Java Script, PHP, CGI; and web page construction techniques. Students do not need prior experience in web site design or programming to successfully complete this course.
